When my friend passed away at a young age, I couldn't help but wonder what happens to her while we continue living. We move on, but can she?
I began writing a story that channeled my own fear of the unknown, turning to my great-grandmother's writing for inspiration. In one of her published columns, she wrote about a bird that had to leave the nest before it could discover the power of its wings. Her words inspired me to sit down and write my own story.
ON A WING is my own leap of faith that shows it's never too late to get unstuck and let go of the past to move forward.
